Army Field Mug (Enamel)
Army Field Mug (Enamel)
'Very Durable, perhaps bullet proof... and only dropped once!
This classic enamel field mug or cup is like the millions used by Allied Forces in World War 2 (Kiwi, Aussie, US, British and Indian troops). Volume you ask? Well, it holds a pint old boy!
The original versions of this mug that were made by the Commonwealth of Australia's 'Department of Defence' had a 'D D' mark (with an arrow in between the D's pointing up so soldiers knew where to pour their brew ;) impressed into the metal on the bottom. The Australian and New Zealand Armies made these mugs in a variety of colors though the original/traditional colour dating back to World War 1 was a very non-tactical white and blue rimmed design!
