Our Founder
I am grateful for being allowed to make Singapore my permanent home for over 9 years, and I am committed to contributing to Singapore in as many ways as I possibly can.
Upon receiving Singapore permanent residency (PR) in 2017 I immediately volunteered to serve in the Singapore Armed Forces Volunteer Corps, (SAFVC) a unit serving a similar purpose as Australia’s Army Reserve.
Every year I volunteer to serve as an Auxiliary Security Trooper doing protective security for 2-3 weeks a year. My SAFVC HQ is at Maju Camp, and I deploy in support of 9 SIR, 2 PDF.
I am a former University Professor and currently a cybersecurity professional. However, as a post-COVID break I decided to take an extended sabbatical in April 2022 in order to be able to dedicate myself full time to realise a dream I have had for the last four years to establish my own biscuit company.
I genuinely believe that The Weary ANZAC will become a globally successful brand, premium food manufacturer, significant employer that promotes a strong set of values, creativity, and quality, and contribute financially to causes I believe in, such as the VSF, Weary Dunlop Foundation, Schools, and Neurodiversity NGOs.
SAFVC 2018
Between 1992 -1995 when I served (Sig Arty & FO) in the 101 Fd Bty, 1 Fd Regt & 14 Fd Bty, Australian Army. I once exercised with SAF regular and NS men at Shoalwater Bay training area and the professionalism and friendliness of SAF personnel impressed me and contributed to my interest in volunteering to help defend Singapore when I got PR for my adopted home.
Promoting the values of the ANZAC spirit to Singaporeans via the marketing of the biscuits, I also want to use the biscuit and associated marketing to socialize the importance of ANZAC countries current mutual security relationship with Singapore (FPDA etc.) and strengthen society to society bonds
